About 3sisters7days

3Sisters7Days celebrates the rich source of information and support sisters provide to one another. In a society characterized by smaller families and busy lives, many women do not have sisters, are not close to the sisters they do have, or simply do not have enough sisters. 3Sisters7Days recognizes how much time we and our other two sisters spend talking, hanging out, and shopping – in both physical and virtual spaces – how much we enjoy this time together, and the extent to which we rely on our relationships and communication to make nearly every personal and professional decision we can remember.

Who are we? 3sisters7days is owned and operated by three of five sisters who grew up in Southern California.

Juliann is a UC professor, Iyengar yoga instructor, and small business owner who shares her home with her spouse, four children, two dogs, and three cats. While much of her professional life is devoted to writing – on environmental politics, political economy, and gender issues – she enjoys time “offline” running, practicing yoga, rock-climbing, hiking, and biking.

Jeanna is an engineer with a Southern California environmental consulting firm. When she isn’t traveling – to Europe, Latin America, Central and Sou theast Asia, as well as much of the United States – Jeanna savors time at home with her husband and two cats. An athletic new comer, Jeanna enjoys biking, swimming, and rock-climbing and participates in team triathlons.

Terri is a sales associate at REI and marketing consultant. The acknowledged athlete of the group who played soccer through college and learned to surf just in time to move from coastal California to Colorado, Terri spends as much time as she can outside of the office – most often, running and hiking with her dog Sammy.

The inspiration for 3Sisters7Days is to share the benefits of our relationship as sisters with a wider community of women. Think of us as your virtual sisters. We’ll share our growth and development as professionals – finding the right career, advancing, and balancing work and family responsibilities – recreational athletes – motivation, training tips, pitfalls and accomplishments – and relating women -mothers/aunts, sisters, spouses, friends, and co-workers/colleagues.
